Donors of Polio Plus projects to date include the British Government (six projects); the European Commission; the British Embassy (three projects), the Office of the Canadian Embassy (two projects); USAID (five projects through the National Democratic Institute – International Department, the Institute for Sustainable Communities, IRC and IOM); the Council of Europe; UNHCR; the World Bank; the Royal Norwegian Embassy; Swiss Disaster Relief; the Royal Netherlands Embassy; The Open Society Institute; Handicap International (four projects); GTZ; MENCAP; the Ministry of Finance; Macedonian Radio-diffusion Council; Macedonian Centre for International Co-operation (two projects); Macedonian municipalities and businesses; private individuals.
The financial funding for our projects runs from zero to Euros 75,000. We have also undertaken a number of self-funded lobbying activities in response to issues prevailing at the time. As a disability rights NGO we are passionately committed to our work: self-funding means money from our own personal pockets.
